Michael Donlevy, Red Deer College
Michael Donlevy is currently Vice President, Business Development at Red Deer College (RDC). His primary focus is on facilitating relationship development and stewardship, including major donors and sponsorships, identification and engagement of partnership opportunities and long-term revenue generation in support of RDC and learner success.
A member of the Executive Team since joining the College in 2001, Michael has held various senior roles at RDC, including responsibilities for Community Relations, encompassing Fund Development, Donor & Alumni Relations and community engagement, as well as the School of Continuing Education. During his tenure with the College, he has led RDC’s efforts in raising more than $50 Million in philanthropic gifts and sponsorship investments. This included direct involvement in securing the largest individual gift in RDC’s history, as well as investments by the College’s largest donor, among others. Before RDC, he had a successful career with TD Bank, in various positions throughout Alberta and in Head Office, Toronto. He was most recently Community Manager, Red Deer, responsible for Commercial, Agricultural, Retail and Advisory Services from the Red Deer Branches. He earned a Professional Accreditation as a Personal Financial Planner in 1998.
Michael has been very active in volunteer leadership roles, including the Alberta Jubilee Auditoria Society (Board Chair – 2014-2016) and the Westerner Exposition Association (President / Board Chair – 2011-2012), among many other organizations over the years. He enjoys golf, a wide range of music, friends and family and being a proud Grandpa.
