Mathieu Côte, Canadian Institute for Energy Training
Experienced sustainability manager with 10 years of experience, Mathieu Côte is Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for Energy Training (CIET) and its international counterpart the International Institute for Energy Training (IIET). He is in charge of developing business for the two training institutes as well as managing staff and consultants and relationships with key clients and stakeholders across Canada. Since he has taken this position, CIET and IIET have significantly increased revenues, as well as expanded geographic coverage and training portfolios, notably by securing national contracts and exclusive licenses for training material developed by Natural Resources Canada.
Mathieu strongly believes in the significant potential benefits of EE-related technical and behavioral training activities in terms of cost-effectiveness and contribution to climate change mitigation efforts. He is thus committed to helping people learn more about EE and adequately equipping them to serve as agents of change through their daily actions.
Mathieu holds an MBA in International Business, has been a certified Project Management Professional since 2012 and a Certified Business Energy Professional (BEP) since 2014.
