Geneviève Gauthier, Econoler
Geneviève Gauthier has provided specialized energy efficiency advisory services to the public and private sectors for nearly two decades. Ms. Gauthier is now the National Director – Consulting Services for Econoler, a Canadian international consulting firm with more than 35 years of experience in the design, implementation, evaluation and finance of energy efficiency and renewable energy programs and projects. Her experience with energy performance contracting (EPC) is vast and varied. She has helped private companies establish their business cases for developing EPC services. She has advised dozens of clients on the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects under the EPC approach in both the public and private sectors, and has provided EPC consultation services to the likes of the RCMP, DND, the Montreal School Board and the City of Saskatoon. Ms. Gauthier has also assisted the Office of energy efficiency and Transition énergétique Québec in improving EPC procurement in the public sector on issues related to regulations, standard procurement documents and contracts, and the implementation of mechanisms that foster the benefits of EPC.
Ms. Gauthier has spoken in numerous conferences on EPC and M&V, an essential component of EPC, and acts as a specialized M&V trainer for the Canadian Institute of Energy Training. She is the co-author of The Canadian Energy Efficiency Outlook: A National Effort for Tackling Climate Change, a book published by Fairmount Press in the fall of 2018.
