Leanne has over 16 years’ experience in stakeholder relations, customer service, project management, and regulatory compliance in Alberta’s energy sector. She has held several roles in Alberta’s electricity industry on the transmission and distribution systems, including leading public engagement programs for new transmission projects, supporting large industrial customers connected to the grid, and guiding customers through the Alberta Electric System Operator’s connection process. She now focuses on demand side management opportunities on the distribution system, including leading FortisAlberta’s Electric Vehicle Smart Charging Pilot. Leanne is a Director of the Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance, chaired Electricity Canada’s Key Accounts Working Group from 2020-2021, and is an Energy Futures Lab Fellow.
